Lemony Lemon Waffles

Another all time favourite breakfast recipe in my house is lemony lemon waffles and it is so easy to make and it has a sweet fragrant of lemon flavour because of the lemon zest which is my son's favourite....I had substitute some of plain flour for whole wheat for a healthier version....hope that you would like it...Here is the recipe that I have been making since I had got it from a television cooking show.....

Lemon Waffles
Ingredients :

7 oz whole wheat flour
7 oz plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
zest of 1 lemon
14 fl oz milk
2 oz melted margarine / butter  ( if u like butter)
3 eggs
2 tbsps honey

Method :

Sieve the flour, baking soda, salt  and baking powder together in a bowl. Beat the eggs till fluffy and  then add melted margarine/ butter, milk and lemon zest and honey into the batter.Fold the flour into the batter till combined. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Turn on the waffle maker and heat it till it is ready - see the indicator on the side of the waffle maker. Ladle a scoop of batter just enough for the waffle maker. Close the lid and let it cook till the waffles are lightly browned.
Serve immediately with some butter, jam or ice- cream .
